ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

DEADLINE FOR RECEIPT OF ABSTRACTS
Monday 1st February 2010

Abstracts are invited for possible inclusion in the programme as either oral or poster presentations. Abstracts will not be accepted where the work has been published in full as a peer reviewed article. However, previously presented abstracts, or abstracts scheduled to be presented, may be accepted but the place and date of presentation must be provided.

The accepted abstracts, both oral and poster presentations, will be published as a supplement of the journal Archives of Diseases in Childhood (Fetal and Neonatal edition). Please note if your abstract cannot be accepted for an oral presentation, it will automatically be considered for a poster.

Authors must also indicate a classification type for their abstract. The classifications are scientific, clinical trial, cohort, secondary analysis, case report or other.

Authors MUST indicate their category of interest: Fetal Medicine, Maternal Medicine, Labour and Delivery and Pregnancy Outcome. Abstracts should contain new clinical or scientific data. This will usually incorporate data from research. Epidemological data, particularly if this provides new information, is also welcome. The results of audit and case presentations will be considered only if they provide interesting new data.

Prizes will be awarded for Best Oral and Best Poster Presentation in each category. There will also be a prize awarded to the ‘New Investigator of the Year’ for the best oral presentation by a participant in doctoral training. In addition free conference registration will be awarded to the top five scoring abstracts at review submitted by midwives and also by medical students.
